In April 1971 when The Rolling Stones released Sticky
Fingers none of them, least of all Bill, thought they
were setting in motion a chain of events that has seen Sticky Fingers Cafe become
Britain’s favourite Rock and Roll restaurant.
When
Bill had the idea a restaurant called Sticky Fingers he was clear that it should
not
only be a celebration of the ‘Greatest little Rock and Roll Band in History’ but
it should be
a great place to eat….. without it costing an arm and a leg! From the critical
acclaim that
Sticky Fingers has received we have definitely achieved our culinary ambitions.

The original Sticky Fingers in London opened on May 9th 1989, with a star studded
party
that was the for runner of many to follow. Sticky Fingers is regarded as much
more than
just another celebrity burger joint. We are known as one of London’s most exciting
restaurants. The American/ Euro style food is prepared to perfection – tender
steaks,
meaty ribs, freshly caught grilled fish and not forgetting our award winning burgers.
Sticky
Fingers has been described by an American critic as the “San Lorenzo of burger
restaurants”. Quality has always been of prime concern to us, but not at silly
prices!

Bill has used Sticky Fingers as the base for some memorable charity fund raising
events.
In October 1994 over £50,000 was raised at the restaurant with a spectacular evening
of
fashion, music, and comedy in aid of The Deniels Charitable Trust. Set up in the
name of
Rhys Daniels, the 4 year old boy whose plight touched the hearts of millions.
A further
£26,000 was raised at a ‘Jokeathon’ in March 1996 for the same charity. Spike
Milligan
and Bob Hoskins, amongst others, joined Bill himself in a non stop evening of
joke telling.
